Island Perks is a loyalty and rewards platform operated by MinerOp LLC (“MinerOp,” “we,” “us”). Restaurants and other local businesses use Island Perks to run their own rewards programs. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you join a program, use the member app, or receive messages from us.
Information we collect
When you join a rewards program, we may collect:
- Your name, if you choose to give it
- Your mobile phone number, used to identify you and to send login codes
- Your email address, if you choose to give it
- Your visits, points, and rewards activity at the businesses you join
Text messages and login codes
We use text messages to send one-time codes that sign you in to your account and to confirm your identity. When you enter your mobile phone number on a sign-in screen, you agree to receive these text messages.
- Message frequency depends on how often you sign in.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
- We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or your text message opt-in with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional use.
How we use your information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure
- To track your points, rewards, and member pricing
- To send you messages about your account and the programs you join
- To operate, support, and improve the service
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your rewards activity with the specific business whose program you joined so they can serve you. We use trusted providers to send messages and run the platform, and they may only use your information to perform those services for us. We may share information when the law requires it. As stated above, we never share your mobile phone number or text message opt-in for anyone else’s marketing.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to stop receiving text messages at any time.
- Ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
- Ask the business you joined to remove you from their program.
